The RN7, once known as Route Impériale 8, is a historic road stretching 995 km from Paris to Menton at the Italian border. The route takes travelers from the bustling Région Parisienne to the glamorous Cote d’Azur, a beloved holiday destination. The Route Bleue, famously mentioned in a song by Charles Trenet, adds to the route’s romantic and nostalgic charm. Lapalisse annually re-enacts traffic jams on the RN7 in the play Embouteillage, and our panneau Route Bleue is an exact, high-quality reproduction of the original sign from the early 1930s.
Our panneau Route Bleue – Lyon / Moulins- is an exact reproduction of the original, located in Saint Martin d’Estreaux, Loire at the Route Nationale 7 since 1933.
The reproduction is, even as the original, made up of two tiles. A reproduction of the highest quality, fully hand-made and hand-painted, and of course with the authentic font which give this big beautiful plaque its authentic look.
Even the back is a work of art.
