This panel, of the highest quality, is completely handmade and painted with extreme precision in the original colors and font. The original sign was an enameled metal plate, but at Vinsign we replace it with solid wood. However, thanks to our unique techniques, you cannot tell the difference from an enamel plate.
Each panel comes with a certificate and a unique production number.

The only image of the original sign is unfortunately not very sharp. But thanks to our years of expertise in historic French signage and the advanced technical resources at our disposal, we managed to create a historically reliable reproduction. The result? A panel that is virtually indistinguishable from the original.
This is a typical TCF panel from the 1930s, sponsored by Dunlop. This particular sign refers to a route known today as the D974 (Voie de la Liberté). At the time, this route ran parallel to today’s N179, which did not exist in 1944. The D974 runs from Carentan to Saint-Lô and crosses the D8 halfway. Presumably the original sign was around this intersection.
