About This Project

The famous artillery battery at Longues sur Mer was built by the German Navy in the first months of 1944.On D-Day, the battery produced a fierce duel with a few Allied ships, but the Allies succeeded in completely silencing the battery by a number of direct hits.On 7 June 1944 the battery was taken by British troops and all 180 Germans were captured.

This typical French panneau is not a reproduction, but made entirely in the right style. The G.c.104 was in 1944 the road from Longues sur Mer to the 60m. high cliffs of the invasion coast.

A high quality panneau, made from 28mm thick dried pine planks and struts at the rear. Completely hand-painted in authentic colors and the authentic old French typeface.
