About This Project
The Route Nationale 158 (RN 158) was the road from Caen to Sées, crossing Falaise.
Before WWII, this impressive poteau Michelin was located north of Falaise.
NBC war correspondent James Cassidy is depicted on the photo, which was taken on August 8th in 1944. Later, on October 29th 1944 he did a live broadcast of the first Jewish religious service (Mincha) from Aachen to New York.
The representation of this panneau Michelin is reproduced in the right proportions and is as exact and specific as possible.
Besides this, the colors and font match with the original (as confirmed by experts).
This panneau Michelin is built of two plates and has the characteristic edge made out of “concrete”
This sign comes with a Vinsign certificate, a unique production number and a luxury postcard with picture and description of the original.
Measurements: 1.150 x 510 mm / plate 42 mm
