About This Project
Many allied aircraft were specially designed for D-Day with brown / white stripes on the wings and the hull.
This was a sign of mutual recognition between the USAAF and the RAF, but also for the ground troops this was a clear “FRIEND” recognition.
This sturdy sign is made of old, thick pine boards and features shaving and authentic brass screws on the back.
It is, like all Vinsigns, accurately handpainted in original colors.
a must have D-Day item!
Also available with RAF roundel or other insignia.
