About This Project

The “Poteau Michelin” of Utah Beach is one of the most famous and certainly the most photographed Michelin Panneau.

It has been at the entrance to Utah Beach since the 1950s near the Musée du Débarquement of Utah Beach.

Utah Beach was the code name of the westernmost of the beaches that were selected to use during the Normandy landing.
The beach was assigned to the American 4th Infantry Division led by Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt Jr., son of former President Theodore Roosevelt.
