About This Project

June 7, 1944. Shortly after landing on Utah Beach, some paratroopers of the 101 Airborne rest at the café J. Philippe on the D15 in Baudienville, 1.5 Km northeast of St.e Mére Eglise.

The photo is very famous and often faked for art purposes… In the gallery you can also see the original image with the original sign “CAFÉ J. PHILIPPE. EPICIRIE”

On special request we have reproduced the old sign and provided it with new text with the same character. A 3.5 meter large sign that cannot be distinguished from an old one, provided with authentic old materials and the special Vinsign finish.

Like all Vinsigns this sign can also be adapted to your wishes and can be used indoors as well as outdoors.

Ask for the possibilities.
