The GC125 (Grande Communication) was built in 1876 and served as the road from St.e Maxime to Bergème, intersecting the Route Napoleon at Le Muy. In the 1930s, the GC125 from Le Muy to St.e Maxime became the Route Departementale D25. Today, it is an important road connecting the A8 highway to the Gulf of Saint Tropez, running through a beautiful natural area on the French Riviera. Our client from St.e Maxime commissioned us to design a plaque that accurately represents the Michelin style, with colors, three letter fonts, and proportions based on similar plaques.
The GC125 (Grande Communication) was built in 1876 as the road connecting St. Maxime to Bergème, and crosses the Route Napoleon at Le Muy. In the 1930s, the GC125 from Le Muy to St. Maxime was renamed the Route Departementale D25. Today, it is an important road leading from the A8 to the Gulf of Saint Tropez, having been extensively developed and running through a beautiful natural area on the Cote d’Azur.
Our client from St. Maxime commissioned us to design a plaque featuring the Michelin type in exact accordance with the Michelin “design and layout” standards. The colors, three types of lettering, and proportions were replicated from similar plaques to capture the unique Michelin look.
The plaque is made of solid beech wood and reinforced with sturdy struts, and the finishing touches were crafted with authentic materials. Finally, a durable and weather-resistant PU resin was applied as a protective coating.
This plaque comes with a Vinsign certificate and a unique production number, ensuring that it is a high-quality and unique item. It is a testament to the rich history of the GC125 road, which has been an important transportation artery in the South of France for over a century.
Overall, this plaque is a remarkable piece of art that captures the essence of the GC125 road and its cultural significance. It is not only a stunning decorative item, but also a valuable collector’s item for anyone interested in the history and culture of the region.
